1,000+ TotalEnergies high-power chargers established in France

TotalEnergies has installed high-power charging equipment at over 180 stations across France.  By doing this TotalEnergies has surpassed 1,000 high-power chargers for electric vehicles (EV) in France.

This milestone makes TotalEnergies the No.1 player in ultra-fast charging on France’s motorways and expressways.“By installing 1,000 HPC chargers, TotalEnergies has demonstrated its commitment to help French households transition to electric mobility,” said Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies. “With close to 250 stations equipped by the end of 2023, TotalEnergies will offer customers ultra-fasting charging every 100 kilometers in cities and on motorways, consolidating its position as a leader in this segment in France.”

HPC is a technology that enables compatible EVs to recharge at a power of over 50 kW and up to 300 kW. Depending on the type of vehicle, this power is able to restore a range of 100 kilometers in 6 minutes, and recharge around 80% of the battery in nearly 20 minutes.

TotalEnergies’ goal is to reach 500 EV charging stations by 2026. 200 of these sites are set to be located on main roads and corridors while the remaining 300 will be installed in cities, peri-urban and transit areas, with one third being 100% electric.
